1 day ago · 56 Posted January 11, 2024 at 05:39 PM 2013 C-Max SEL. Car has begun to alarm the front parking sensor [solid beep] when coming to or stopped when driving in the rain. Suspect sensors may need replacing & am unsure where they are located in front & how hard they will be to replace. Do I have to remove front bumper cover or more to replace? AUTOSPARK. Maybe one of the sensors is faulty. Switch the ignition on, select reverse gear, then go to the back of the car and lightly rub a finger back & forth over the face of each sensor. You should be able to feel them pulsing. The one that isn't is the one that is faulty.

1).You have a wiring loom for the front sensors (cable photo) 2). Another wiring loom for the rear sensors (more cables photo) 3). The purple cables photo will be wiring for the sounders one at the front and one at the rear. 4). Two control modules which one you require depends on your head unit fitted. 5).

***2/2/2019 Update*** Solved, Issue Hasn't Reoccurred Just today my front far left sensor started going off constantly when I go at low speeds. Doesn’t stop. Hi thanks for the reply. I swapped the faulty sensor with each of the 3 nearside ones and always got the same fault (offside) all the nearside worked ok each time. I'm thinking either the module or a break / short in the wiring is the issue. I can get access to a 2001 S500 module if I need it to rule that out firs befor tackling the wiring.
